Join the Athens Master Chorale

If you are interested in joining the choir, please submit this online form to arrange an audition. All voice parts are encouraged to audition, with a particular need for high sopranos and tenors.

Audition Dates and Location

• 2024 Dates: September 6th (Friday) and September 7th (Saturday)
• Location: St. Gregory the Great Episcopal Church, 3195 S. Barnett Shoals Rd, Athens, GA 30605

Rehearsal Schedule

• When: Monday evenings from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
• Where: St. Gregory the Great Episcopal Church, Athens, GA
• First rehearsal: September 9, 2024

Audition Process

We are seeking singers with strong singing skills, including sight-reading ability, adaptability, and good intonation. During the audition, you will be asked to:

1. Vocalize: Demonstrate your vocal range and tone quality.
2. Sight-Read: Read a portion of a choral work on your respective part.
3. Short Solo: Perform a song that showcases your best vocal quality. If you need a suggestion, "My Country 'Tis of Thee" or "The Star-Spangled Banner" are acceptable choices.
